AUTISM and RELATED DISORDERS

I had to eventually have a granddaughter with Autism myself before I fully understood. It's hard to understand how someone who looks perfectly healthy, can not know how to communicate with others and do really simple things. They are sometimes called names like lazy, stupid, idiot, retarded, no good, and lots of other horrible things. Over half of all those in prisons in the United States are learning impaired in some way. It's only, in the last several years, doctors have begun to understand many of these illnesses like Autism. Just think of all those in prison today. Many would not be there had they been helped when they were children.

Father, in Jesus name help us to be patient and kind with one another and understand the care and attention we should give to those in the Autism Spectrum. Oh Lord we pray, help us to understand. Jesus is big enough to break through any problem on earth. His love is bigger than any hurt, any threat, any sickness, any struggle, any problem known to man. He will answer when we call and we can trust him to help us through anything.
