CIA veteran Case Officer and counter intelligence expert, Leutrell "Mike" Osborne began his effort to help Gary Revel in the investigation of the assassinations of Martin Luther King Jr., President John F. Kennedy and Senator/Presidential Candidate Robert F. Kennedy today.
Osborne questioned Gary about the role Chief Counsel Richard Sprague played in the beginning of the investigation. Why did he get replaced by Chief Counsel Robert Blakey shortly after Sprague charged Revel in his sensitive investigative role which included maintenance of his cover.
Why would HSCA Chief Counsel Richard Sprague during the early part of the March 22, 1977 say and do one thing and then by March 29, 1977 resign? During an interview speaking directly to James Earl Ray et al, Sprague stated; "Whoever's involved in the assasination of Dr. King, I would ask you to give us your full cooperation to catching the one or more or whosover and being in a position where that person can be uncovered and ultimately prosecuted."
Sprague's tone and demeanor on the March 22 tape recording is as Revel remembers. Sprague was sure and confident that James Earl Ray did not kill Martin Luther King Jr. and that working together with the House Select Committee on Assassinations in the investigation of JFK and MLK's murders the true killers could be 'uncovered.' For all intensive purposes, Sprague implied that he believed that the true perpetrators would be uncovered, and prosecuted for the assassination of Martin Luther King Jr. Further evidence leads to connections to the assassinations of President John F. Kennedy and Senator/Presidential Candidate Robert F. Kennedy as well.
Mr. Osborne also asked for Gary Revel to get copies of all Gary's files from the Veteran Administration (VA) since there were some disconnected pieces of information about Mr. Revel that appear to proceed from VA sources and we want to get to the bottom of these
leaks. Gary Revel has provided for the specific medical files in question
to the Congress and has now provided them to the press and other interested
parties. The other important detail is the letter from the VA that describes
Mr. Gary Revel as having 'delusions of grandeur' because he said that he
had worked on the investigation of the Martin Luther King Jr. assassination.
This letter is among the Veterans Administration's files held in the Regional
VA Office in Westwood, California. The VA psychiatric medical evaluation
in December of 2000 which found that Gary did not have any mental illness was
after the date of the letter in question. Gary Revel will try
to have a copy of that letter sent to him as soon as possible and will share it with
all that are interested at that time.
