JFK: HONEST ANSWERS
HOME -> John F. Kennedy
Lee Harvey Oswald's Department of Defense Identification Card
Gary Revel, update-April 14, 2026, Killeen, Texas
Today is October 27, 2017. I am sitting here in Killeen, Texas, and I have decided the time has finally come to offer some honest answers about the assassination of President John F. Kennedy. Since it is obvious our government is never going to allow the full truth to be known, I may as well just do this. For years, many have asked me to lay it out in a simple, easily understandable summary. I have held back. The time for holding back is over.
The official story and the day in Dallas
On November 22, 1963, at about 12:30 p.m., President John F. Kennedy was riding in an open limousine through Dealey Plaza in Dallas, Texas. With him were First Lady Jacqueline Kennedy, Texas Governor John Connally, and Nellie Connally. As the motorcade passed the Texas School Book Depository, shots were fired. Kennedy was struck in the head and neck; Connally was also seriously wounded. The limousine sped to Parkland Memorial Hospital, where Kennedy was pronounced dead at 1:00 p.m. CST.
Within about 70â80 minutes, Dallas police arrested a 24âyearâold former Marine, Lee Harvey Oswald, an employee of the Texas School Book Depository, and charged him with the murders of President Kennedy and Dallas police officer J.D. Tippit. Two days later, as Oswald was being transferred in the basement of Dallas Police Headquarters, he was shot and killed on live television by Dallas nightclub owner Jack Ruby.
The Warren Commission, established by President Lyndon B. Johnson and chaired by Chief Justice Earl Warren, concluded in 1964 that Oswald acted alone and that there was no credible evidence of a wider conspiracy. Later inquiries "the Rockefeller Commission, the Church Committee, and the House Select Committee on Assassinations (HSCA)" revisited the case. The HSCA, in 1979, concluded that Kennedy was 'probably assassinated as a result of a conspiracy' though it did not definitively identify all those responsible. (I was the HSCA-associated Special Investigator who found the assassinations were executed by a team of assassins and not Oswald and James Earl Ray) Some members of the Warren Commission have historically disagreed with the Warren Commission-J. Edgar Hoover-LBJ unfathomable lone-gunman theory.
That is the basic official scaffolding. But it is far from being the whole story or the entire truth of the matter.
*******
I have often heard my CIA friends defend the Agency against accusations that it had anything to do with the assassinations of JFK, Martin Luther King Jr., or Robert F. Kennedy. They insist that no official CIA operation would ever have been authorized to assist in such murders. They lean on the word "official."
Yet we know from the CIA's own official "publicly released" records that the Agency ran covert programs to assassinate foreign leaders, including Fidel Castro. These plots were overseen in part by Richard Bissell, who served as Deputy Director for Plans under CIA Director Allen Dulles. Under Bissell, the CIA trained and equipped anti-Castro Cuban exiles, turning them into paramilitary and covert assassination teams-ostensibly for operations against Castro's Cuba.
Bissell later acknowledged that the CIA used Mafia figures in planning operations against Castro. The logic was simple and cold: the Mafia had both the networks and the willingness to kill. The CIA had the cover and the resources. Together, they formed a shadow apparatus capable of deniable violence.
When President Kennedy fired both Allen Dulles and Richard Bissell after the Bay of Pigs disaster in 1961, he did more than change personnel. He humiliated powerful men who had already built covert infrastructures for assassination. It is not hard to imagine that the direction of those capabilities could be turned-from Castro to Kennedy himself-by people who felt betrayed and endangered by his presidency. To add to the Kennedy-problem J. Edgar Hoover was in no way happy with rumors that JFK intended to force him into retirement. J. Edgar led the FBI with an iron hand and was not a person most politician's would disagree with. JFK was an exception to the rule.
So when people say, "The CIA didn't do it" they may be technically correct in a narrow, bureaucratic sense. It may not have been an official CIA operation. But former CIA officers, contract killers, Mafia leaders, and anti-Castro Cuban operatives-people who had trained, plotted, and killed together dissuade such. They were a very important part of the reality of the day and had the support of many Americans. And they had motive, means, and experience to fully bring about such an assassination and with the FBI/CIA's help cover it up.
I could pretend this is just one possible scenario. I could hedge and say, "we cannot be sure" But at this time I confess: this is, in essence and in the real world reality, how and why it truly happened.
Vietnam, NSAM 263, and the Heroin Pipeline
To understand why Kennedy had to die in the eyes of some, you have to look at Vietnam and money.
In October 1963, National Security Action Memorandum 263 (NSAM 263) approved a plan to withdraw about 1,000 U.S. military personnel from Vietnam by the end of 1963, with the broader intent-at least in Kennedy's circle-of winding down the American military presence. JFK had planned to bring all US soldiers back from Vietnam by the end of 1964. After Kennedy's death, NSAM 273, signed by President Johnson, shifted the tone and opened the door to deeper U.S. involvement, which soon escalated into full-scale war.
The Vietnam War was not only a geopolitical project; it was also a logistical shield for illicit economies. U.S. military presence in Southeast Asia and the South China Sea helped protect what has often been called the Heroin Pipeline-routes that moved opiates from the Golden Triangle into global markets. For organized crime, this meant tens of billions of dollars over the 1960s and into the mid-1970s. A president who intended to end the war threatened not just policy, but international criminal networks that graeatly profitted from same. Classified figures, at the time, accounted for the gross income to be in the $30 billion range for each year throughout the 1960s and into 1975 when the source transitioned to Cocaine-Columbia.
A Mafia boss could be heard to say, "You're taking food off my table".
So Add it Up
Fired CIA leaders with access to covert networks and assassination teams.
Anti-Castro Cuban exiles trained and armed by the CIA.
Mafia figures enraged by the Kennedys-crackdown on organized crime and protective of their drug profits.
The hatred and divide between the Italian Mafia and the Kennedy family goes all the back to days when it was illegal to possess, transport or drink alcoholic beverages in the United States of America. They were competitors in furnishing such to illegal places for alcohol consumption-a Speak Easy. These were illegal bars or nightclubs that operated in the United States during Prohibition (1920–1933). The Kennedy criminal organization and the Italian Mafia profitted well from such.
Elements of the military-industrial complex that saw Kennedy's withdrawal plans as a direct threat to their war-driven fortunes.
While there were other (certain Israeli and federal-international financing-money concerns) 'matters of interest', the primary straw that broke the camel's back was the Mafia's concern of their control of their worldwide illegal drug trade. This was the engine which opened the door to the collaboration between the CIA and the Mafia for the criminal executive action needed.
These are not abstract forces. They are overlapping circles of power, money, and violence.
MLK, RFK, and the pattern of elimination
This same web of interests helps explain what happened later to Martin Luther King Jr. and Robert F. Kennedy. When you see who profits from war, who profits from racial division, who profits from silencing voices calling for peace and justice, the pattern becomes clearer.
I will not unpack all of that here, that will have to wait for another timebut once you understand the intersection of intelligence operations, organized crime, and the war economy in the 1960s, the killings of MLK and RFK no longer look like isolated tragedies. They look like a continuation of the same project: remove those who threaten the worldwide criminal organized machinery with professional and lethal contracted killers. In fact, it may eventually be a movie we are developing at Jongleur Pictures LLC which will eventually provide the final truth of the matters-all.
Retired FBI agent Don Adams calls the Warren Report "Nothing But a Bunch Of Lies."
Retired FBI Agent and Police Chief Don Adams,
who was one of the original investigators in Dallas
examining the JFK assassination, stumbles upon records
and reports that were doctored. He knows, because he
filed the original reports. His decade long investigation
has taken him deep into history, to the National Archives
and beyond. Step by step he says he has learned and can
prove that Lee Harvey Oswald did not kill JFK.
Let us not seek the Republican answer or the Democratic answer, but the right answer. Let us not seek to fix the blame for the past. Let us accept our own responsibility for the future.
