Re: JFK Assassination and the CIA

In 1977, of the many documents relating to the assassination of President John F. Kennedy held or controlled by the CIA, even though I tried, I only saw 27. I remember this because I was 27 years old at the time, so it stuck in my memory. Those files along with all other files I had gathered and/or received from others were stolen in Nashville, Tennessee in the late 1977 or early 1978.
The Central Intelligence Agency now publicly states that the National Archives has custody of about 1,000 documents not yet released to the public, along with about 90,000 pages of their files on the assassination that have already been released. In 1977, when I was investigating the assassinations of President John F. Kennedy and Martin Luther King Jr., I sought to have more files released, as HSCA Chief Counsel Richard Sprague had directed; before his untimely dismissal. The one person that was able to make sure none of the investigators associated with the HSCA investigations got a look at the most important evidentiary files was Mr. George Joannides.
I was in the office with Attorney Jack Kershaw on a Spring day in 1977 when we got a call from one of the investigators that worked directly for the committee. His call was in response to a call we had made asking for CIA files related to the MLK assassination. On that day we were told that a Mr. George Joannides was the CIA Liason and only he could authorize any release of CIA files. I had several phone conversations with Mr. Joannides after that, none of which resulted in any progress in having any CIA files released.
The name did look familiar and when I studied the pages I already had I found that it was connected to Lee Harvey Oswald during Oswalds time in New Orleans. What I learned, later that year, was that on the evening of Nov. 22, 1963, Joannides leaked materials to all major news media that tied Oswald to pro-Castro groups. At that time I realized that the CIA Liason was not available to help us get to the truth but in fact was performing the job of preventing us from getting to the truth.
Federal law mandates that all known records relating to the JFK assassination will be released by 2017, unless the relevant agency objects, in which case the Assassination Records and Review Board would consider the appeal. I am sure that all important evidentiary files that would actually bring to light the truth of the CIA's involvement in the assassinations of JFK and MLK; also possibley RFK, John Lennon and the attempted assassination of President Ronald Reagan, have already been sanitized to the point that no light is there.
The official conclusions of the House Select Committee on Assassinations on JFK; there was a ... “high probability” two gunmen fired at the president that day, ... and on MLK; ... their was most likely a conspiracy... both these conclusions are contrary to the staunch official position of the CIA, even to this day.
CIA agent/operative E. Howard Hunt confessed to being in association with CIA officials who executed the killing of JFK. He called himself a 'bench warmer'. Among those he fingered was Cord Meyer. Cord had an interesting relationship with JFK in that it was known that he believed JFK had a sexual affair with his wife. I don't know that would make Cord want JFK assassinated but all the other hatred of CIA agents and Anti-Castro Cubans for JFK because of the Bay of Pigs chaos and JFK's decision to end the Vietnam War, well... he fired the CIA's 'Golden Boy' Allen Dulles also, shortly after the Bay of Pigs fiasco.
My official conclusions to the assassinations are that neither Lee Harvey Oswald nor James Earl Ray were guilty of shooting at and killing JFK and MLK. They were, without a doubt, set up to take the fall for the killings and because of the power, intelligence and operational resources of the CIA, J. Edgar Hoover and others who wanted JFK and MLK out of the way, Oswald and Ray served as scapegoats very successfully. The cover-up was a masterful operation as well and so well done that it's effect is still felt, even today. It is on a fairly regular basis that a film production comes out that once again says quite effectively but erroneously, Oswald shot and killed JFK. Only those who have investigated the matter honeslty and forthrightly knows the truth of the lies these propagandists try to use to convice the world that day is night and wrong is right.
Some CIA or CIA connected folks that were all for the execution of JFK was President Lyndon B. Johnson, Allen Dulles, J. Edgar Hoover, Richard Nixon, Robert A. Maheu, Sheffield Edwards, Jim O’Connell, Scott McLeod, James Jesus Angleton, Bill Harvey, Richard Helms, Frank Wisner, Charles Cabell, Cord Meyer, James Angleton, Howard Hunt, Thomas Karamessiness, Areleigh Burke, Pauline Sierra Martinez, Lyman Lemnitzer, and CIA asset Johnny Rosselli.
