(a preview of one scene in the movie)
Gary Revel is sitting at his desk in his office in Hollywood, California. His phone rings and he answers, "Hello, Gary Revel here, may I help you."
The voice on the phone was hostile, "You tell Ben Brown to keep his mouth shut. Michael doesn't want him talking to the press or anybody."
"And who do I have the pleasure of speaking with?" was my reply.
"Bill Bray-Director of Security for Michael Jackson." the voice responded.
"Sorry, but I can't do that. Ben has a right to tell his story and that story includes his part in the success of Michael's music career."
We flash back to meeting in the famous Musso Frank restaurant on Hollywood Boulevard between Ben Brown, his wife Joanne and myself.
I was getting a 2 hour seminar on how Michael Jackson had really got his start and achieved success in the music business. To my surprise it wasn't
as I had thought I knew. Michael had not been discovered by Diana Ross and Motown Records had not been the first record company to produce, and release Michael Jackson records. A small Gary, Indiana based record company, Steeltown Records, was the first record company releasing Michael Jackson and Jackson 5
records.
Ben and Joann were pleading for my help in getting the true story and establish their place in history which had been eluding them. Part of the deal we made
included developing a record release of the early Pre-Motown Michael Jackson music.
(end of scene)
I worked with Ben and then later Gordon Keith, who was one of the early partners of Steeltown and the producer of the first Michael Jackson-Jackson 5 record, BIG BOY. I gradually began to correct the great misunderstandings the public had about the early life and music career of Michael Jackson yet the full story is due to be told.
On the morning of June 25, 2009 I was watching news on TV and heard a report that Michael had been rushed to the hospital due to a cardiac arrest. Shortly the report changed to the simple statement that Michael Jackson was dead.
Now, new calls for me to investigate the death of Michael were coming in. Still the cry for the true life story begs to be achieved and now along with that is the cry for the story of his possible death and possibly his murder.
I decided that it's time to write the screenplay and bring the TRUE STORY to the millions of Michael Jackson fans that deserve it.
